The Jewish Standard was having issues with site organization and layout. When we began talking about their likes and dislikes about how their site looked at that time, it was clear they wanted to inject more color, create a page layout that allowed better access to site content and add some new features to rejuvenate the site experience. Through a series of mockups we settled on the current design, which pays close attention to maximizing user experience.
Their site is designed around Expression Engine, with many custom modules created to allow for features such as a Flash-based supplements to be added directly through the Expression Engine interface and the ability to export their calendar for use in their print newspaper.
